Refunds And Returns

Jewellery will be accepted for a refund or credit within 14 days of purchase and must be accompanied by the original sales receipt, packaging and all certificates (Excluding any courier charges). Returned item must be in its original packaging, unused saleable condition.The reversal of cash purchases will be effected by means of an electronic funds transfer into the bank account where the payment originated. A copy of the customers ID/Passport, Banking Details confirmation and customers signature on the refund form is required before a refund is processed. Reversal of credit card purchases will be effected in store upon presentation of the original credit card used to make the payment. All reversals processed via a speedpoint are subject to the relevant Bank’s turn-around time for the clearing of the funds. Unfortunately, this is not within the control of Jean-Andre Jewellers and all queries must be escalated to the relevant bank. Gift cards may be redeemed at Jean-Andre Jewellers but cannot be exchange for a refund or cash.

Lay-Bye

Lay-Bye’s are held for a period of three month. Should a Lay-Bye purchase be cancelled, a cancellation fee will be charged unless the funds are transferred to an alternative purchase from Jean-Andre Jewellers. In the event that the full amount is not paid within the 3 month period, Jean-Andre Jewellers reserves the right to cancel the agreement and refund the money paid less the cancellation fee.

Quotations

Written quotations are valid for 48 hours from the date of issue and are subject to availability.

Custom Made Jewellery and Orders

A 50% deposit is payable upfront on all orders. The date of completion is an estimate and wherever possible any unexpected delays will be communicated. Jean-Andre Jewellers reserves the right to adjust the costs indicated on the sales order. Due to the fact that these orders are made to the customers specifications, all deposits paid are non-refundable.

Repairs

The date of completion is an estimate and wherever possible and unexpected delays will be communicated. Jean-Andre Jewellers reserves the right to adjust the costs indicated on the repair order. Goods not collected within 60 day maybe sold to defray costs. Although all reasonable precautions are taken to prevent loss or damage it remains the responsibility of the owner to have the goods insured. Neither Jean-Andre Jewellers nor any staff member will be liable for any loss suffered. Jean-Andre Jeweller reserves the right to return the item unrepaired should the repair not be viable.

Courier Service

Courier depends on availability of the product as well as any additional charges that need to be made to the product eg. insurance, ring sizing or any other alterations.

On average your product will be couriered within 7 working days if it is available in store. It can take up to 15 working days if it needs to be ordered from the supplier alternatively it can take up to 8 weeks if it needs to be ordered from overseas. Due to Covid-19 international orders have been suspended until further notice.

Before placing your order you are welcome to check what the delivery period will be for the product you would like to order.

Insurance

We strongly advise that you insure your purchase prior to collection or courier on an all risk cover which includes loss, theft, damage – including the risk of a stone falling out etc. as all risk of ownership passes upon the collection of an item in store by you or your appointed agent or when handed over to courier service.

All goods purchased purchased that are couriered must be insured by the customer before leaving the store. Jean Andre Jewellers cannot be held liable for any losses or damages while the goods are in the hands of the courier company.

Product Sales and Availability

All products displayed on our website, mobi site and subsequent apps are subject to availability and will be delivered only within South Africa and to areas where we deliver. All prices shown on our website, mobi site or subsequent apps are quoted in South African Rands and are valid and effective only in the South Africa. We reserve the right to discontinue or change the specifications of our products and services from time to time without notice. We will inform you as soon as possible if any of the products or services you have ordered are not available.

Colours and Items Displayed

We have made every effort to ensure that the colours of the jewellery and watches that appear on our website, mobi site and subsequent apps display as accurately as possible. However, as the actual colours you see will depend on the device that you use to access our website, mobi site and apps, we cannot warrant that your device’s display of any colour will be accurate. All jewellery displayed on our website may be enlarged to show detail and may not be the actual size when purchased. All information, however, in terms of metal, carat size, diamond etc. next to each product description is 100% accurate.

Content Errors

We regret that no order will be accepted if we identify a material error in the description of any of our goods or services or their prices on our website, mobi site and/or subsequent apps.
